Valerie Adams
Introduction:
Valerie Adams is a shot putter and had broke world record. She was the Best female shot putter in the world in 2008. This year in the Olympics she won a silver instead.
Valerie Adams was born on the 6th of October 1986. Her dad was from New Zealand and his name was Sydney Adams and her mother was from Tonga and her name is Lilka Ngaumoa. She has several brothers and they are all over 6 feet tall. Her younger brother plays basketball in America.
When Valerie was 15 her mother had died. Valerie Adams was very upset. She says her mum is her inspiration. Valerie Adams is doing so well in her career and she is always making New Zealand proud.
Sadly she didn't get the result we all wanted but she is still our winner.
